Great Story time!

So I thought I would share this wonderful experience with you for reading as well as the season for reflections and Jesus's love for us. I normally am not at the library on Mondays at 1pm but 2pm so today Rocky was having a dress rehearsal for his chimes class as they are performing at Dixie High School this evening. After dropping Rocky downstairs at class, in the St George library. The kids and I headed upstairs only to find, story time for all ages, but what was unique at this story time is there was a handicap woman reading to all special needs adults and children. This was great, the audience was cheering for the books and interacting, this gave my kids a chance to see others, that are special. God's love was surrounding us in the library. At one point the reader asked for a helper, then the helper asked for a helper. It was cute and so great to see everyone smiling. So if you want a uplifting moment a moment to show kids, that everyone is special and fun. Take your kids to Monday story time at 1pm. These adults and kids touch my heart in so many ways, my husband's Gary's best friend through high school and till this day, is a man by the name of David who has Down Syndrome. He has touched our lives with his testimony and strength. I too have a special needs child, my son Rocky has Asperger's a mild form of autism. So many of God's special blessings are around us. Taking the time to stop and reflect on them is a wonderful thing! Happy Holidays

Reading! JANE

So as the holidays approach us I'm doing more and more reading I picked up a classic that I have not read in awhile but wanted to because there is a book out about Mr. Darcy obsession, so if you don't know it by know I'm reading " Pride and Prejudice". A classic yes and for me I have decided to join the secret society everywhere of "Jane". I am so excited about finishing and moving on to her next book. I have been enjoying the free 30 or so minutes I have been getting before bed to read to myself! So maybe by next year I will be caught up on all the books on my reading list! Just thought I would spread the reading happiness!   
                   

Holiday Fun!

So I figured with the holidays coming and Thanksgiving next week. The busy season is upon us. So I'm taking a break reading some books and thought book club will take a rest for the holidays! See you ladies next year 2012 and by then we should have some great reviews to post and have had the busy season in our memories! Ciao.. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all.
